About Us
Welcome to SacTown Rose Boutique!
SacTown Rose Boutique was created in November 2020 by me, Julia Damian. The idea of opening my own business was always something I wanted to do but had never researched what was needed to accomplish this until the COVID pandemic hit in 2020.
As a stay-at-home mom, my quarantine days were spent managing Zoom schedules for 3 kids in distance learning, caring for my two smaller children, cleaning and caring for our home, and still trying to stay sane. During this time, I decided to spend any free time that I had to dive deep into all the things I needed to know about opening an online boutique.
The name SacTown Rose is a combination of two muses in my life. The first is my only daughter, Melanie Rose. In a house of all boys, she is the definition of a girly girl. Spending time with her shopping, doing our nails or face masks is something I will always cherish. The second is lyrics from a Tupac Shakur song "The Rose That Grew from Concrete". Those lyrics have helped me through some dark times, always reminding me that even when it looks impossible, there is always a way to grow and flourish.
Our logo was something I had envisioned for a long time. I wanted something that people would see and immediately say "That is Sacramento". Nothing says that more to me than the Tower Bridge. After working with a close friend on bringing that vision to life, our logo was finalized, and we launched in February of 2021.
Currently, we sell women's clothing and accessories online. With the help of my husband Emilio, we are now selling at pop-ups in the Greater Sacramento area. In February of 2022, we launched our SacTown Rose Apparel collection which features clothing and accessories with our logo for men and women. We are working hard to expand our selection to include footwear, jewelry, and kids' clothing with the hopes of this expansion happening in the fall of 2022.
I want to thank anyone who has placed an order, shared our site, followed, liked, or commented on our Instagram account. Without your support, none of this would have been possible. I hope that SacTown Rose continues to grow for many years to come.

You see you wouldn't ask why the rose that grew from the concrete had damaged petals. On the contrary, we would all celebrate its tenacity. We would all love its will to reach the sun. Well, we are the rose - this is the concrete - and these are my damaged petals. - Tupac Shakur
